Presenter Info

Judit Gerencsér

Dr. Judit Gerencsér is a Hungarian librarian and cultural diplomat, serving as Senior Strategic and International Relations Officer at the Hungarian National Museum and President of the Hungarian Library Association. She previously held leadership roles, including Deputy Director General of the National Széchényi Library, and is recognized internationally for advancing library development, professional collaboration, and cultural diplomacy through IFLA and other networks.


Catharina Isberg

Catharina Isberg is working as Library Director at Lund Public Libraries since 2022 and also currently serve as Vice President of the Swedish Library Association. She is active in IFLA and part of the Public Libraries 2030 Lighthouse Libraries Network. Catharina works to develop library services as part of the democratic infrastructure, connecting local efforts with broader initiatives. She focuses on innovation, inclusion, and workplace resilience to meet evolving community needs.

Since 2022, she has served on the Swedish Library Association’s Governing Board, becoming Vice President in 2025. She has held various roles within IFLA since 2011, including Division Chair and Governing Board member. Previously, she was Library Director in Helsingborg City and has also held positions in academic and pharmaceutical libraries. She holds a degree in Library and Information Science since 1990.
