Presenter Info

Loida Garcia-Febo

Loida Garcia-Febo is a Puerto Rican American librarian, educator, and international consultant influencing the advancement of wellness, technology, and sustainability in libraries. A former President of the American Library Association (2018–2019), she led the Libraries = Strong Communities initiative and established what became the ALA Sustain RT Citation for Wellness in the Workplace, and has held key roles with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), where she is a member of the Governing Board and chairs the Management of Library Associations Section. With over 25 years of leadership, she is a recipient of the ALA Medal of Excellence.


Robin Kear

Robin Kear is a Liaison Librarian at the University of Pittsburgh. She works with the English, Film & Media Studies, and Gender, Sexuality, & Women’s Studies departments. Internationally, she has co-published and presented research on the attitudes of global new library professionals for IFLA and BOBCATSSS conferences, on the UN SDGs for various webinars and conferences, including OLA Superconference in Toronto, and at UN side events. Robin served as an information services intern for the United Nations in Nairobi, Kenya, and has taught in Vietnam and Kazakhstan. She was named an American Library Association (ALA) Emerging Leader and a Library Journal Mover and Shaker. Robin has served extensively in the University of Pittsburgh’s Faculty Senate and was the University Senate President from 2021-2025. She has chaired the ALA Conference Committee and serves on the IFLA North American Regional Division Committee, the IFLA Social Sciences Libraries Section as Secretary, and the ALA IRC Subcommittee – UN Sustainable Development Goals Committee.


Ray Pun

Ray Pun is an education librarian at the Alder Graduate School of Education in California. Ray has previously worked abroad as a librarian; he has also served in ALA International Relations Committee and IFLA Continuing Professional Development and Workplace Learning Section.
